I’m not really much a Facebook user, but I’m getting curious about what they are working on right now that we don’t know about.

I better find some other things to write about, I don’t want this turn into the all Facebook channel.

This was fun, it was my first tech outing since moving to Utah. It’s good to get out from coding in the home office for some face to face interaction. :-)

Kudos to Phil Burns for organizing this and Twelve Horses sponsoring the location.

UPDATE Fri 10 Aug 2007 @ 11:00am : A couple of people asked about the slides being online, so I signed up for an account at <a href=http://www.slideshare.net/">slideshare.net and uploaded the PDF version exported out of Keynote. The slides don’t have a lot of detail and there was a lot of discussion, but here they are for those who missed it: FBML slides.

Phil Burns has put together a Utah Facebook Developers Garage. Things have changed a little bit since the initial announcement, here is the date change details. If you are interested in attending here is the when/where:

Thursday, August 9, 2007
6:00pm – 8:30pm
Noah’s
644 N. 2000 W.
Lindon, UTAH

Sponsored by Twelve Horses

So this Noah’s place looks interesting, never been there (never heard of it), but they apparently have wifi so we should be set.

For more information check out the Utah Facebook Developers Garage Facebook group and the August 2007 Facebook event page.

If you are in the Salt Lake or Provo area and want to talk tech about Facebook applications come on by.

I think there is a lot of potential with the combined features of WordPress and FaceBook.
