I agree there definitely needs to be more emphasis on closing tickets in a more timely manner. I like WP 2.6 and have had no problems yet but the concern is always there.

Yes, I saw Sam’s post. That was kind of my point, we need more folks to get involved. With more people participating in XML-RPC and AtomPub development, tickets would be more likely to get the attention they need.
