MySQL Interface to Amazon S3

Posted on April 9th, 2007 / 2 Comments »

Mark Atwood wrote a MySQL Interface to Amazon S3. Some basic functionality is there, but this is bleeding edge stuff.

This is a really neat idea, abstract the S3 storage and provide methods that people already use to store their data. Someone needs to take this to the next level and really push it. MySQL or Amazon should latch on to this (hire/contract Mark if they haven’t already) and really ramp it up.

    I’m glad you like it. Have you tried it out yet?

    @Mark-

    I haven’t tried it out yet, but the concept makes a lot of sense.
