JeremY! is right, the new Google Maps is going crush older map sites. After a few minutes of playing with this thing, I’m sold. Even though I use Safari as my primary browser, I’ll fire up FireFox (sorry, bad pun, I know) just to use this. Once you learn how to enter search terms to get the info you want, it really is quite easy. I was also glad to see that they provide a “Link To This Page” feature, since you can’t cut-n-paste from the location bar.
Unless something goes horribly wrong, I expect this to simply explode in usage. By the end of the week everyone and their cat will be talking about this.
UPDATE 10:00pm Tue 8 Feb 2005: Looks like they are working hard to support Safari. I’m looking forward being able to use it in my primary browser. (via Simon)
