The amount of comment and trackback spam I’ve been getting on the this blog over the last few months is out of hand. None of it ever makes it to the site, which is good, but still unpleasant. So I’ve just activated Akismet as a plugin. The reviews seem to be have been positive so far, so I have high hopes.

If Akismet doesn’t work for you, give SpamKarma2 a try. It’s proven to be nearly 100% accurate for me–I’ve had to eyeball a half dozen moderated comments (all spam), with one false positive (which was easily rescued). So far, no spam has slipped through.
